Might be worth sending an enquiry to Trading Standards regarding the other stuff - they were selling you a service you didn't really need and without telling you what it was, although in future you should be sure you know exactly what you're paying for rather than typing in you card PIN and signing paperwork blindly. PC World is like the Waitrose of technology - they sell the same thing but at a massively inflated price. You don't need to go into a shop and look at it to know if it's any good. ![]() The best place to buy laptops is online, probably. I also have Malwarebytes Antimalware on my laptop in case something bad does happen and I don't think AVG is capable of getting rid of it. If you didnt call up the head office customer service and explain what happened I asked whether I can take the laptop home and he said they needed to do the set up and recovery back up, but he didnt say I didnt have to do them. I explained to them that when I first bought the laptop the guy basically hid the truth that I could have just bought it by itself without the set up and other addons. However they refused to refund the £35 set up charge and £25 recovery back up - I asked them what the set up involved and they said upgrading windows 8 to 10, I said but isn't that free they said yes, I said so why is it £35 they said because it will be done for you, I said I don't want it to be done for me I can do that myself for FREE and they refused to refund it. Apparently I need to call the monthly plan service myself to cancel it.
